Clark Regional Medical Center is Building for the Future

Clark Regional Medical Center is part of LifePoint Hospitals®, a leading hospital company based in Brentwood, Tenn. focused on providing quality healthcare services close to home. LifePoint acquired CRMC on April 30, 2010, and announced plans for the new facility which has been designed to meet the community’s comprehensive healthcare needs.
“Our amazing new hospital facility will provide advanced services, making certain that the changing healthcare needs of our community are met today and into the future,” said Kathy Love, CEO of Clark Regional Medical Center. “Our expanded location will be invaluable to Clark County and surrounding communities and will ensure that our physicians and staff have excellent facilities and the latest technology to provide the highest level of care possible for all of our patients.”
The 131,000 square-foot hospital, which will replace CRMC’s current facility, will feature 79 beds and contain space for many important medical and support services including:
- Enhanced healthcare information technology capabilities, including electronic medical record systems with bedside computer charting at all patient care locations
- Emergency Department with 22 private exam and treatment rooms
- Radiology Department with a cutting-edge Diagnostic Center, including Radiology, Fluoroscopy, CT-Scan, MRI, Ultrasound, Mammography and Nuclear Medicine equipment
- Surgical Department with five state-of-the-art Operating Rooms.
- Eight-bed Intensive Care Unit
- 36-bed Medical/Surgical Unit
- Women’s Services Unit with State of the Art Labor/Delivery/Recovery Suites featuring whirlpool tubs, 12 post-partum patient rooms and nursery
- 25-bed Skilled Nursing Facility and therapy gym
- Ecologically responsible, energy efficient design that incorporates a geothermal heating and cooling system
- Private admitting, registration and patient rooms
- Community dining room, meeting rooms, outdoor patio and chef’s garden

The new hospital will be located on Lexington Avenue adjacent to Winchester Plaza, a highly visible and easily accessible location adjacent to I-64 and the Bypass in Winchester. Construction is expected to be completed in early 2012.
