Clark Regional Medical Center Names 2025 Mercy Award Winner
May 16, 2025

WINCHESTER, KY (May 16, 2025) –Clark Regional Medical Center announced that Amy Glass, a registered nurse in the Emergency Department, has been named the hospital’s 2025 Mercy Award winner. The Mercy Award is the highest honor a Lifepoint Health employee can receive, recognizing one individual at each facility who exemplifies Lifepoint’s mission, vision, and values through extraordinary compassion, dedication, and service.
Established in 2001, the Mercy Award is named in memory of Scott Mercy, Lifepoint’s founding chairman and CEO. This annual recognition celebrates employees who go beyond the call of duty to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients, colleagues, and the community.
Amy’s nomination reflects the deep impact she has on everyone around her. As the first nurse to graduate from Clark Regional’s nurse extern program, she has grown into a highly respected critical care nurse, known for her exceptional leadership, calm presence, and tireless advocacy for her patients. She is admired by her coworkers and physicians alike for her ability to remain composed under pressure, ask critical questions, and ensure no detail is overlooked.
“Amy’s compassion, drive, and integrity are evident in everything she does,” said Cindy Wesley, Chief Nursing Officer at Clark Regional Medical Center. “She delivers care with a level of empathy and thoroughness that is truly inspiring.”
In addition to her clinical excellence, Amy serves as a preceptor, guiding nursing students through hands-on learning and helping shape the next generation of caregivers. Her influence extends beyond the bedside—her kindness, emotional strength, and unwavering professionalism are felt throughout the hospital.
Each facility winner, including Amy, will be considered for Lifepoint’s 2025 companywide Mercy Award, to be announced later this summer during a ceremony in Nashville, Tennessee.
